Myself and fellow artist Soohyun Cho were entrusted with taking this level from concept to final client delivery. She did an exemplary job getting the lighting, atmospherics and sky perfectly tuned to the mood and theme we were trying to convey. I created the central building, starting with a proportional blockout, then creating a high res. Once that was approved I created the low res, UVs, LODs and materials. The materials were highly iterative as we figured out how much detail we wanted. I created a distance based pattern on the floor as well as a cube map projected room in the doorway, mostly obscured but just enough detail to add much needed depth to the building. I am deeply proud of the level we were able to achieve under the guidance of our leads.
